Question on EAD/AP combo renewal

Still waiting for updates on I-140 and I-485. Does anyone with similar PD see any movement?
Given the long wait time, i will have to renew my EAD/AP combo card. My current combo card is valid till end of Nov 2018. My question is if i travel abroad after submitting my renewal application but within the validity period of my existing combo card, will my renewal application be cancelled?
