Employment Based Interview - EB2(A) / - Philadelphia Field Office 5/18/18
Hi all,

I can definitely relate to the agony and the countless days and nights you are all going through with regards on your green card interview and for this reason I am here to answer any of your questions!

Myself and my wife had our interview yesterday. We went alone and didn't ask our attorney to join us. Our interview was scheduled for 8:30 am. We were at the office at 8:00 am sharp. We passed security and we gave our Interview notice to the Reception Desk where they told us that we should wait to hear our names. We sat down and we were relaxed, discussing our daily routine, what were going to do after the interview etc.

At around 8:45 am an officer called our names and we followed her to her office. Once we went in the officer asked us to raise our right hands and take the Oath. After that, we sat down and the officer asked to take my fingerprints and photo. Then, she asked me about the following:

1.Date of Birth
2.Company I work for and what do I do for them
3.My wife's name
4.My SSN #
5.My current address
6.Latest Paystubs (she asked to keep those for her files)
7.My phone #
8. Work Employment Letter
9. W2's
10. Birth Certificate (Both Original and Certified Translation)
11. Passport
12.Last Date of Entry in the USA
13. My Wife's Date of Birth

Then she moved into my I-485 Questionnaire. She asked most of the questions on this binder.

After all that she asked my wife to take her fingerprints and photo. She moved by asking my wife for the following:

1.Husband's Full Name
2.Husband's Date of Birth
3.Birth Certificate (Both Original and Certified Translation)
4. Passport and latest I-94
5. Names of Her Father and Mother
6. Current Address
7.Her Phone #
8.Her SSN #

She then asked for the Marriage Certificate. Also she moved forward by asking if my wife is currently working. My wife replied that she started working this week (She got a job offer and indeed started working this past Monday). The officer said: "Oh, that's nice, who is your employer" , my wife replied with the name of her employer. The officer then said: "what do you do for them", my wife replied and finally the officer said "Congratulations on your new job".

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. The Immigration Officer was very nice with us from the start. At the end of the interview she told us that our case is an easy and straightforward one. She then said that she has all she needs. She also said she will be reviewing the case and if she needs something she will contact us and our attorney. She said, you should be hearing back from us in about 4-6 weeks. It usually takes less than that but that's the general response timeframe.

Dates:

1. 140 Filled in August 2017
2. Biometrics Appointment 12/06/17
3. Received our EAD Cards 2/13/2018
4. Received our Interview Notice 4/10/2018
5. Interview Scheduled for 5/18/18

I hope that I was helpful and I wish good luck to all of you!
