I-485 Approved - Finally
Timeline

July 3, 2017 - I-140 filed at TSC, NIW EB 2 - (priority date)
October 10, 2017 - I-140 got approved in 3 months
November 8, 2017 - filed I-485 by ourselves
February 8, 2018 - after ridiculous 3 months of wait got biometrics done
February 22, 2018 - case transferred to NBC
March 14, 2018 - EAD and AP received
April 15, 2018 - got RFE to show all legal visa and entry status
(Note: if you have H1B, your I-94 is at the bottom of the approved form, not the online I-94 form, take both)

June 14, 2018 - Notice to appear at 'Initial' interview - don't get freaked out by the term 'initial'
July 19, 2018 - Interview at Philly field office (tough experience shared in my previous post)
Told us to wait 4-8 weeks for background check. Memorize your I-485 or take a copy of it.

July 20, 2018 - Your case was approved and mailed you the notice - big surprise and relief
--------------------------------
Total about 12-13 months

My general understanding

EB-1 takes 10-12 months (from I-140 to I-485)
EB-2 takes 12-14 months (from I-140 to I-485)
