EB1C i485 AOS Interview - ROW South East Asia
Lurked and benefited a lot from this forum.

PD: July 2017
I-140 approved June 2018
Interview date: 9/19/2018, 8am, Dallas Field Office in Irving TX.

Interview experience:
- The whole family was asked to appear.
- The attorney wasn't present, but a mock interview was held 2 weeks prior with the attorney.
- We wore proper formal button-downs and ties, shirts and dresses. Like going to a job interview. Was advised by attorney to dress properly :)
- Arrived early at 7.20am.
- Was called in by the IO around 8.10am and she brought her into her room.
- My photo was taken and fingerprints verified.
- Then it was my wife's turn.
- Kids just sat down and looked at everything around in the IO's office.
- Then said "Yes, I do" to the oaths.
- IO was professional and succinct.
- Questions asked to me: Name, Birth date, Place of Birth, Address, Date moved to this address, Last entry date into USA, Entry Port, Current Visa, Parents' name and Birth Place, SSN, Wife's Name, Wife's Birthdate, Kids' names, Kids' birth dates.
- Questions asked to my wife: Name, Birth date, Place of Birth, SSN and Parents' names and birth date.
- No questions for the children.
- Then, the Yes/No questions to the both of us. Asked the IO about traffic infractions because I wrote "No" in the section with the arrested, cited, etc question, and was informed it wasn't necessary to include it.
- Was asked to sign the forms and was told I got the entry date wrong but it's near enough to be approved.
- Was told that the EB1C should've be approved but can't be approved then because of retrogression. Was told to wait until October.
- We said thank you and left.
- Overall, very nervous and would not recommend to do it more than once unless necessary :)
