EB3- Green Card Interview

Eb3- Labor applied PD Date - May 15, 2007
I-485 PD date- May 10 2018
Fingerprinting- June 12, 2018
EAD Received - August 23, 2018
Interview Letter- August 26, 2018
Interview held- October 16, 2018

We had an interview yesterday at USCIS Hartford Office for immigration. The interview went well but there was a weird situation on their side.

Hartford IO received all of my papers and i-140 application instead of my husband's who is the primary applicant. So the IO thought, I am the primary applicant.

We explained him that i-140 is applied by both of our employers’ but my husband's date current so he is the primary applicant. But they didn’t have my husband's i-140 in the file, so he asked all employment related question to me instead of him to continue with the interview.

After taking the oath, fingerprints and pictures, we were with him for almost hour and half.

IO said we are in a good side of limbo. Even though all is clear from our side, he cannot take further action till he finds out where my husband’s i-140 application is! This is just insane!! The IO was friendly and cooperative though.

He had the approval notice of my husband's i-140 application. He also mentioned that it is their mistake. Allowed us to ask as many questions we want to.

The overall experience was fine but we are not sure how long will be the wait till they get my husband’s i-140 application. We were really hoping for a smooth process after the long wait of 11 years :)

At the end of the interview he handed us the paper that said we attended the interview and our case is being reviewed.

Is anyone is in similar situation? Is there anything else we can do from our side to expedite the situation? How long should we wait till we take an infopass appointment?
