I posted a couple of times about Mandamus and I received some response and it says likely that I shouldn't do it for it is useless. As you can see on my timeline, it was a long journey which took me 2.5 years to get the result. As before it only takes 9 months to 1.5 years. I used to check this forum everyday until nobody response or talk about December 2016 I485 EB2 filers for we don't get any update for so long and those who filed on 2017 gets their results earlier than us. And it is really frustrating. That's the reason I filed for Mandamus for my lawyer told me that if I filed Mandamus, it will force USCIS to answer within 30-60 days to give me the decision for my application.

I don't know if the mandamus really works but it looks somehow work for I got the result within 60 days or it may just my time to get it.

Good luck and thank you.
