L1-A extension VS EAD
My L1-A visa extension is due by March 2019. I have completed my 485 interview last month and officer said my Green Card should be approved once EB1-C dates becomes current.
My current EAD is expired in January. However I have applied for my EAD extension in December month.
My company is reluctant to apply for L1A extension as I have approved EAD or is in progress.
I have following few Q. -
1. Can we stay legally during EAD and Advance parole extension is in approval process without valid L1-A visa?
2. Also I read the blogs wherein people traveled on Advance Parole, but while re-entry they faced challenges with more scrutiny. Is it safe to travel outside on Advance Parole without impacting re-entry?
3. Can we switch the job on your EAD status while you are waiting for 485 approval? Some people recommends, to continue with same employer until 6 months after GC approval? Not sure why.
4. Considering these issues is it advisable to apply for L1A extension? If not, what would be risk?
