My EB3 Experience
Dear all,

I just want to say thank you to this community that has been helping me throughout my greencard journey. Somehow this journey has been very emotional for me with all the waiting and uncertainty with Trump administration. But, patience is virtue. 14 years in the US and finally, I am now a legal permanent residence of the US.

This is my timeline for EB3 employment based greencard.

Priority Date: 08/04/2017
PERM certified: 01/04/2018
Concurrent Filing I-140 and I-485, I-131 (AP) and I-765 (EAD): 01/22/2018
Biometric: 03/01/2018
EAD approval: 05/22/2018
AP approval: 09/25/2018
I-140 approval: 09/25/2018
I-485 transferred to another office: 10/12/2018
Interview Notice: 02/12/2019
EAD extension: 02/14/2019
Interview at Field Office (San Jose, CA): 03/19/2019

The interview lasted about 45 minutes. The interview was straight-forward and informal in nature. The officer I had was friendly and the whole time he shared about his experience traveled to Asia and different countries, his family, etc. He went over my name, DOB, current address, and education background, length of current employment, and some yes/no questions on I-485 about any criminal records, ground of inadmissibility, any unauthorized employment, etc. Documents that were presented to him today were the job offer, advanced parole, 2019 paystubs, original birth certificate, passport, and valid H1B approval with current I-94, and the most current medical record. He handed me a paper to inform me that decision cannot be made right away as my finger prints and picture taken on the interview will be matched againts their records. The NBC will make the decision. If I don’t hear the decision by 120 days, the hotline to inquire is available.
My lawyer told me if I didn't get approved right away to not get disappointed. I was ready to wait for another 120 days and possibly longer because of the whole waiting game with USCIS.

I-485 Decision: Card on Production 03/21/2019

For everyone who's waiting, don't lose hope. It's possible. Praise the Lord.
