travelling with the combo card while waiting
Hi everyone,
1. We have completed our interview on July 1st and haven't heard anything since then. I am the principal applicant but my husband has to travel with his combo card which is valid until January 2020 (I will stay in the US in the meantime.) Did anyone travel with their valid combo card while waiting for GC? if yes, was there any trouble? Or does anyone heard any kind of problem that people faced when entering back to the US? I know that we have our valid combo cards but our IO said: " I don't recommend you to travel in the short period of time." so, we are not sure what to do. Any experience appreciated.
2. I also would like to ask about the combo card renewal process. Did anyone renew their combo card while waiting for the GC? Ours will expire on January 2020 and I am not sure about renewing them now because it's too expensive. Should I wait until October in case I hear something, or should I just go ahead and pay whatever?
