Approved EB-2 at Fairfax, VA
Hi all,

everyones experiences and comments were such an inspiration and hope for us. We've been patiently waiting for our interview since Aug 2018. I am a primary EB-2 applicant, my wife filed as a dependent. Here is our timeline:

Aug 2018 Applied I-140 and I-485 concurrently
Oct 2018 EAD approved
Nov 2018 EAD delivered
Jan 2019 Case transferred
Jun 2019. Interview Scheduled for July 30 2019
July 30 2019 Interview Date
July 31 2019 11pm card is being produced
Aug 7. Card received in the mail

The entire interview experience was a very positive one. Nothing like we would ever expect. We waited for almost an hour in the waiting room (although had the first morning interview time. The officer came out and called our name. She was super friendly and accommodating. She agreed to take me and my wife both together at the same time. She asked for original documents that we brought with us, and then went over the application. At some point I forgot and incorrectly answered one of the Yes/No questions and she mentioned that I did put a different answer on application which made me remember and answer correctly. Entire interview took us about an hour. Officeк responded that she will make recommendations to her supervisor and we should expect the response in 2-120 days. Since our interview was on July 30 and we already knew there were no Green Cards available in August and September due to retrogression, we lost any hope on quick approval, regardless of how well everything went. However, we still were desperately checking our statuses next couple days.

On July 31, last hope, my wife was checking the status before going to bed - still nothing, I stayed up late and decided to give it a shot at 11pm - BOOM "card is being produced". We couldn't sleep all night. It was such a blessing moment. However, I still was a bit sceptic inside and would not believe until we got our cards in the mail 7 days later.

I wish everyone luck and patience. I know there are a lot of you who had your interviews and still waiting for a response for several months now. Our prayers with you.
