L1, L2 Visa

Thanks to this forum, it helped me a lot while preparing for my L1 A blanket visa interview.

I am sharing my experience as below

Date: 6th Sep 2019
Location: Chennai

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning officer

VO: Which visa are you applying for?
Me: L1A Blanket

VO: Which company? Company XYZ? and how long have you been working with it?
Me: Yes, i am working with company XYZ since last x years and y months

VO: Whom are you going to report in US? and whom does he/she reports to?
Me: I am reporting to global head of function X..... and he reports to president "XYZ"

VO: Do you have any reportee in US?
Me: Currently, I don't have. I have a budget to hire once I move to US.

VO: What will be designations of your US hires?
Me: 2 Consultant & 1 Senior Consultant

 VO: Where are you going to?
Me: NY

VO: What will be your salary?
Me: ***/year as base salary

VO: What will be doing in the US?
Me: i will be working as head of the function xxx

VO: is it a global role or regional role?
Me: Global role

VO: What is your highest qualification
Me: Masters - MBA

VO: My system is not responding, please wait I will come after a short break. she carried our passports also with her.
Me: Sure, we should consider working with our company..... we can fix this :)

VO: Sorry for keeping you wait, Switching context, when did you get married?
Me: date

VO: Maam, is this correct?
Spouse: Yes

VO: What's your highest education?
Spouse: B. Com

VO: Congratulations, your L1 A visa is approved, best for luck for your travel.
Me: Thanks Officier

General Observation: As highlighted by others, confidence does matter. Be honest and precise to your answers. If your US role is going to be a global that might help
