I attended L1 interview yesterday (06/09/2011) in Chennai.
The VO was very cool and she was approving L2 visa for the 2 persons standing before me in queue.
It increased my confidence level.
The questions asked were very usual and as follows.
VO: How long you are with you current organization
Me: 4 Years
VO: Why are you going to US?
Me: Explained my project and responsibilities
VO: What is your specialization?
Me: Explained about the pre proprietary tools used for this project
VO: How many other people in your company have these skills?
Me: There is only one other person who has the similar skill set.
VO: What is your Indian salary?
Me: INR *** per annum
VO: What is your US salary?
Me: $*** per month
VO: Where are you going to stay in US?
Me: New Jersey
VO: New Jersey is very costly. How will you manage your expenses?
Me: I will be getting US allowance of $ **** per month in addition with my Indian salary INR ****
VO: Okay. So you are going to work in your client’s place xxx?
Me: No. xxx is not my client. I am going to work in my Parent company xxx.
VO: Did you join xxx with this proprietary knowledge?
Me: No. I got training in xxx.
VO: This particular visa type is very strict and issued only to the highly specialized people. Please ask your company to apply for some other visa.
