L1A Blanket Rejected
My L1A Blanket Rejected on 28th Jan. Thanks to the forum anyhow for sharing all their experiences. Here are the questions asked:
VO: How are you? Please hand over the papers
Me: I'm doing good? How are you?
VO: I am good. Thank you.
I handed over the Documents (I129S, I797 - 3 sets which were tied up by the people assisting for L visas at the 2nd counter).
VO: So you are working for YYYY (Looking at my tag)?
Me: ZZZ
VO: Will you be working at the client location or at YYYY premises?
Me: At client location
VO: Who is your client?
Me: ZZZ
VO: Which client? He asked me again
Me: YYYY ( I pronounced it in Indian way)
VO: OK. ZZZ. (He pronounced it in American accent)
VO: What are your responsibilities? Looking at his system
Me: I explained what was mentioned in the Documents. 4-5 sentences
VO: Interupted me and asked Whats your Salary in US? Looking at me
Me: YYYY dollars per year
VO: How many people report to you
Me: 17
VO: How many are direct and how many are indirect
Me: 3 direct and 14 indirect
VO: Are these 3 direct reportees are Leads?
Me: 2 Managers and 1 Lead
VO: How long are you planning to stay in US
Me: 3 years
VO: There was a pause for 1 minute while he typed something in his system and gave me the passport and 2 copies of I797 and I129s papers and told,
Sir, Unfortunately I cannot give you visa. The reason is "Not Clearly Approvalble". There are other ways to travel to US. Please go and talk to your HR and ask them to apply in a different category.
He kept one copy for himself.
Me: Can I explain you why I fit into this role and provide you more details?
VO: Smiled at me and said, Please explain to your HR and tell them to apply in a different category
Me: No Porblem. Thank you
I thought he almost accepted and ready to break me some good news but when the word "Unfortunately" came up my mind was blank.
The VO was friendly and smiling through out the interview. No Complaints...
I didn't understand what he meant by apply in a different CATEGORY?
CATEGORY as in L1A Individual CATEGROY
or
A different Visa type all together.
Anyone can you let me know what this means so that I can proceed further
