Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking around this forum reading the experiences. Its my turn to update the community about my experience ! As usual, this forum has helped to a great extent in my preparation. Below is my profile:

Experience - 10+
Salary - 90+
Designation - senior manager
Previous visits - Was in US for 6 years

OFC Visit: 3rd Mar
This was as usual. Went in there 15 min earlier to my scheduled time. Doc checking at couple of places and biometrics are done.

Consulate Visit: 4th Mar
Waited in lanes as usual to get our turn. Security checks done, token given, DD collected and asked us to wait for our turn.

VO - Token #
ME - Hello officer.
VO - Hello.
VO scanning the passports, looking at the 129, I think now he will start the firing round.
VO - Whos the client ?
ME - Answered
VO - Whats your Indian Salary ?
ME - Answered
VO - Whats your US sal ?
ME - Answered
VO typing on the keyboard and looking at the 129. I'm praying. Then he takes our passports and bundles it with 1 set of papers and keeps it aside. Even then I'm not really sure if its approved or not (I was so tensed). Then he starts stamping on the other 2 sets. Finally the golden words "I've approved your visa"
ME - Thank you Officer , have a nice day !
VO - You too.

No Qs for wife.

Attire - You can see different people saying different things. With Chennai's temparature, I decided not to wear suit/blazers and just to wear a formal shirt with tie. When I started dressing up in the morning, I notice that I'm not able to button my shirt's collar ( usually I never wear ties for business). So, I tried to wear the tie and tried to cover the button. Though it was looking good, I did not feel comfortable. I said, I'm not going to wear it. Let me go in with just the formal dress. I went in with just a formal shirt and pants. Couple of guys who went in before me were wearing suits/blazers and got rejected. So, its your call. My advice is to dress with what you are comfortable.

Before someone asks, I would say, I cant really reason why there were only few Qs. May it was pre-determined may be not. May it was my profile or may be not. I'm not sure.

But what I did was to go in FULLY prepared for all the possible questions. And then, just pray !!

I did pull out most of the questions from this forum and I went through the posts starting from the Jan 2013 to prepare this list. I'm just posting those Qs here so that someone can pick it up from one place.
