Brit who needs advice on the right path to take (I-485 + I-130)
Hey guys got a few questions my wife and I need some help on. This is where we're at:
I entered the country on a VWP, we got married and I decided to try and change my status and live here with her. We want nothing more than for me to be able to stay here. However after searching the internet we're doubting whether to fill out and file the I-130 and I-485 forms due to my being here on the VWP. Do you guys know if it'd be likely we'd get approval or would it be simply better to go home to the UK, take her with me and apply for a spouse visa there and then return? We're feeling really worried and lost. We would greatly appreciate some advice, thanks.
P.S. (We'd hire a lawyer if we could afford to but that simply isn't an option for us at the moment)
