So excited! Yesterday, hubby got a text that our interview has been scheduled. Just anxiously waiting on the letter in the mail now to know the date. I was getting nervous because we applied for his renewal combo card last week and it was on the later side. Hopefully, things go smoothly and this green card gets approved before January when the combo card expires anyway.

I?m pregnant now, so I?d really like things to be settled.

Since you applied for the EAD renewal prior to its expiration date, as long as it's accepted and they send you the I-797C form back, your husband will be able to use that as a 6 month extension beyond the expiration date. That is of course he falls under one of the accepted filing statuses like (c)(9). See link below for more details.

I hope so. I know how stressful it is, especially when TPS is ending, I don't know if yours is but my husbands is.

My husband is from Honduras so his TPS doesn't end until 2020, but yes it is stressful! Thank you for sharing your story, it gives me hope.

Interview

Going to our interview tomorrow! So nervous, excited and anxious all at the same time.

Hi everyone!!

I just wanted to give an update. We had our interview here in the Baltimore field office on August 30th. The IO was very friendly. He went over our answers on the 130 and 485 forms. He then asked for any documentation we had, so I gave him utility bills, credit cards, car insurance, health insurance and bank accounts that we have in both names. I even had copies of our six flags passes! lol After that, he asked how we met. We both responded and gave our story of our meeting. He said he had already looked at the photos I submitted with the application, so he didn't take any more pics from us. We were given a form letter that said he had all the info he needed and he had 120 days to respond to our case.

The following week we went on vacation to Jamaica and my husband used his Advanced Parole on his EAD card with no problems. When we arrive in Baltimore after our trip they took his picture and fingerprints, then escorted us to another area where the IO looked up the info in the computer then stamped my husband's passport. That was it, so don't be afraid to travel using your AP!!

We got an email last night that my husband's card is being produced!!! So, four weeks from the interview for approval.

I wanted to update because this site was so helpful to me when I was completing my husband's paperwork and we were going through the process.

Well, congrats on completing your interview!You will get your approval. Had there been a pressing issue, the Immigration Services Officer would have issued a RFE or Notice of Intent to Deny. That did not happen. So you're all good on that end. Just wait for your approval.

Just got my interview notice; it is scheduled on October 12th. 1 year and 7 days after my case was received... why does it take so long?

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You would think that the process would be faster for those whose I-130 petitions has already been approved. But it isn't, which blows my mind. While it's fantastic that you already have that approval under your belt, you still want to make sure that you focus on the longevity of your relationship when staging your evidence. Focus on CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage.
Technically, the focus of the I-485 interview should be admissibility; especially, if the I-130 has already been approved. However, I would cover all your bases and follow the format of Emerald 2020's Table of Contents found on this thread. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...interview-tips
