What I meant by "just be yourself and answer the questions to the best of your ability" is to just try to relax, be honest and answer the questions they ask. Because I was so nervous at first that I stumbled a little on my answers at first. I was a bit worried about that at first but then I got comfortable and still got approved. That's why I said that but I get how it can be misunderstood!

As for the questions you asked me:
I did send all the evidence I had at the time proving bona fide marriage with my package including photos. I brought new evidence (that we got after filing) and copies of the ones we filed to the interview but the officer didn't even look at them lol.

We met in May 2016, moved in together July 2017 and got married in December 2017.
We filed January 29th, 2018

It confirms that ISOs may already have an approval in their minds before you walk through the door, if you had submitted all your evidence of bona fide marriage with your I-130/I-485, as required by the I-130 instructions. It sounds like you did your homework, and logically, the approval followed.

Ead approved.

January 2018 filer here. I have spent the past 4 months worrying AF. The silence and wait was killing but finally, I got email that they approved my EAD and the card is being produced. Now I can buzz off and not bother about checking when they decide to schedule the interview. I'll have a job hopefully soon to keep myself busy. Now is the time to keep gathering evidence of bonafide marriage. I can't wait for this to be over. I applied for AP too but nothing yet on that front. I don't know if I'll get the combo card, I'll have to wait and see, I guess.

PS. UScitizenfilingforspouse, whoever you are, you're a very amazing person and you're appreciated. I have read countless posts from you (I don't stalk, I promise lol) and it's unbelievable the length you go to to help people with information. I just thought I should type some words of encouragement to you.

Congratulations. I?m hoping I get mine too. Do you think the SR you raised helped? I?m 93 days in so far from my PD date and I was thinking of raising SR online? Did you do it online or over the phone? I have overstayed so it?s hard to collect financial evidence of bonafide marriage with my husband. I hope I get the EAD before the interview. And where are you filing from?

OMG yay!! I got an email late last night saying that my i756 has been updated! My EAD card is being produced and mailed it to! I still haven't heard an actual decision about the expedite request lol but omg yay!

Since you didn't file for your EAD to be expedited, I am pretty sure you will get the combo card. Your Social Security card should also arrive within a few weeks - usually three weeks.

I am not sure if your question is for me. But I'll answer it, just in case. My spouse was on F-1 visa, graduated, and approved for OPT through STEM. Spouse fell out of status after not securing a job within 90 days of receiving the EAD.

whoever is dealing with my case is going slow on purpose lol. They approved my work permit exactly at the 5 months. Now the waiting game begins to see when they schedule my interview.

Hi UScitizenFillingforspouse, i am F1 too but my opt expires soon in June 27. If i stop working do i fall out-of-status? I am still waiting for my new EAD and I485 interview. July 1 should be exactly 5 months. Thank you so much.

Although the SR still shows that it's unassigned, I personally think raising that SR made them look at my application and see what was going on with it. I raised the SR after about 4 months, though so... I can't say for sure if it was just normal processing time.
