Probably, please schedule an Infopass appointment and go with a printout of the visa bulletin and explain your case.. If not working, go for a lawyer's advice.. Checking with Senator is also another option.

The experts in this forum also could give you better ideas.

I hope your situation will soon change.

Thanks, appreciate your reponse. I got a email today with status post decision activity that i485 approved and also the email states post activity on a approved petition may include sending the approved petition to National Visa Center or the Department of State.

I'm super confused but sort of happy seeing the word i485 approval.

I could not hold the argument on the priority dates as the interview was pretty intimidating

And after going through all the documents, I was handed off of a notice which stated somewhere on the lines, the interview is completed, however the priority date is not current, the application will be sent back to TSC or NSC and they will take the decision once the priority date is current.

Any ideas, thoughts from the forum experts will be much appreciated. I know the dates are current, how to proceed in having USCIS acknowledge the ROW cross changeability and make a decision?

    Thank you

This may be a dumb question and given the lack of knowledge I have on bar/scan codes, I am trying to figure out the significance of the bar/scans codes on the USCIS notices.

My lawyer always scans the USCIS notices sent to his office and then forwards that to me through email. Now someone told me the Interview Notice gets scanned when you enter the USCIS building. If thats is the case, does scanning the original copy and printing it out affect the ability to be scanned?

    Thank you
I guess some states do things differently but upon entering the building I passed through security check and they asked to see ID. It's like at the airport where u put your belongings (including belt) in the plastic container that gets scanned and then I entered a room looking like a lobby where there were long lines and seats. That's where u give your interview letter and ID. They scan it and give u a ticket. They keep it. U don't get it back.

    Interview done!

    Hi everyone!

So we just had our interview this morning (Raleigh, NC field office). After waiting for a bit, we had a very young officer greet us. He asked the standard questions and it was all over after just 10 minutes. Unfortunately, we did not get approved on the spot. He said that he would now review the documents but "everything else looks good to me." I've already received updates about my I130 that the interview was concluded and the form is now "under review." I really want the "card being in production" update soon! I am relieved but also not.. a clearer answer would have been nicer (he gives us the standard "if you don't hear back from us within 30 days, do an InfoPass appointment).

Telling me that the Case Inquiry date of May 20th, 2016 is the date of the cases that the Raleigh office is processing, is a giveaway that the officer does not know what he/she is doing. So I keep escalating after I explain to them that is not what the case inquiry date is.

Disclaimer: "Do not try this at home"

Either way, they are not immigration officers. They're all at the contact center "out-West". They're not at the NBC.

    All the best,
