krlosrb I didn't think the I-765 applied to NAFTA visa holders, this is from the instructions for the form:


"If you are a lawful permanent resident, a conditional resident, or a nonimmigrant authorized to be employed with a
specific employer under 8 CFR 274a.12(b), do not use this form."

In the regulations mentioned, NAFTA visa holders are #19 on the list.

I believe you are wrong.

In order to continue to have employment authorization during the processing of the AOS application after their TN expires, TN visa workers should file an I-765 application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) when filing their AOS application.

I'm currently working in the US on a 3yr TN visa, got married last summer and just submitted the I-485/I-864, I-130/I-103A.
We got confirmation of receipt (Jan 29, 2018) and a letter saying stay tuned for fingerprint appointment. No word on an interview yet, does everyone get called for these?

My TN is good until this August, will they send me something to give my employer by then so I can continue working while this is being processed or do I need to submit something?

I think you should submitted the I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization)

Update. Checked status of 485 on feb 13,2018 says RFIE posted on feb 12,2018. So now waiting for rfie to come in mail.

Received letter for bio metrics today on January 27th, 2018. I am scheduled to be fingerprinted @ 2/6/2018 in Norfolk office. I was considering going earlier than that day. Has anyone tried that?

I actually got the 797C in the mail yesterday! My PD is Jan 30. However, I have NOT received any kind of texts or email notifications. Is that normal?! Does that even matter now that I have my receipt number?

I think it is matter if you wanna track the updates.
Now, you can create a account at uscis website, add those cases and turn the text notification on.

My package was received on January 31st, checked cashed February 10th. Received texts with case numbers on February 10th too. Call them, I'm sure your receipt notice is on the way.

I sent my package on 1/26, it got there on 1/30, my checks were cashed on 2/7. Still haven't gotten any confirmation.

My package was received on January 31st, checked cashed February 10th. Received texts with case numbers on February 10th too. Call them, I'm sure your receipt notice is on the way.
