Finally, My Bio-metric notice has arrive. I noticed though that the "notice date " was last July 05 but received it just yesterday.
Things were moving on slowly, I will try walk-in on Tuesday. I was scheduled in July 25.

I’ve just checked my application - everything was in order, so have no idea why it takes so long. My visa expires in early August and I’m really concerned. I contacted a lockbox support via email - no response yet. The USCIS contact center wasn’t helpful, they don’t know where my case is. All they could do is to make an inquiry for me.
If i refile there is a risk of double cashing the fee. Idk what to do. Tier 1 operators said that normally it takes 10 days only to process the case and issue noa. Lockbox support says it’s 30 days. So confusing.
So we’re in the same boat, buddy.

I heard the same as enub4 that sometimes they update, but sometimes don't. I would not worry about it as long as you have the biometrics paper stamped. that would be your own record if anything.

No, sometimes they update and sometimes they don't. Nothing to worry about.

Oh wow. I guess it does depend on the office, cuz ours did not have anyone in at the time and they let me do min with no questions asked.

I tried walk-in biometrics 1 week early from my appointment date in The Bronx and took me exactly 10 mins from the moment I got in til got out. No questions asked and everyone was very friendly. Actually, I let them know that my appointment was scheduled 1 week later, even though I was able to do it.
Definitely it will depend on the field office and probably whether they are too busy or not. So I wouldn't take for granted that any specific office will do it or not. Just give it a try.
