for me it took 95 days from biometrics to having EAD in hand (EB1-C category)

I tried this in SF ASC and got denied. Officer said they don't accept biometrics outside the date/place of the notie

Thanks! That what I figured as well. I went for my biometrics appointment today and the place was packed! However, they did a great job of keeping things moving and I was out of there in 40 mins.

Does anyone know how long it is taking to get the EAD these days after biometrics? I've heard ~1 month but would love to hear what others have experienced.

Hi guys, I have a silly question and was hoping someone can help me. I have my biometrics appointment in couple weeks but I was wondering if there's any value in trying to do do a walk-in sooner than that? I read on the forum that some folks did a walk-in for their biometrics, but a) I'm not sure if that's something that's encouraged and b) even if they allow walk-in for biometrics, will if help expedite my case in any significant way?

Will appreciate if someone has any suggestions.

Bio appointment scheduled for 10/26. I was surprised because USCIS already has my bio from a different case (Temporary Protected Status and EAD). I gave the bio for that case about 3 months ago and was approved. Has anyone had or heard of someone who has submitted biometrics to USCIS for a previous case and was requested to do them again for AOS?

10/19/2021 - Request for initial evidence - To submit most recent year tax return or tax transcript for I-864.

Could you please give me your inputs on tax return vs tax transcript ? for my spouse, we tried online or by telephone way to get the tax transcript but it did not workout, as it kept on throwing the error that the information was not able to get it. One reason was that the taxes for years 2018, 2019 were filed late via paper in June 2021 (just before the application process was begun) and there are no tax transcripts. We do have a lawyer for our case, however, we are also looking for some experiences on whether submitting tax returns should be fine or not ? Please let us know your inputs.

EB2 candidate here. Submitted I-485, I-131 & I-765 applications for me and my wife on 8/10 and received all receipt notices on 8/22 in mail. Since then no updates regarding Biometrics. Does anyone know how long it is taking to get biometric appointments? I saw couple folks in this thread already got theirs but wondering if there are others (like me) who are still waiting.

Update from my end:
Application submitted on 8/10
Receipt notices received on 8/22
Got Biometrics letter in mail on 10/9
Biometrics appointment scheduled for 10/25

Yes, they are not doing interviews anymore.

FYI - I read somewhere that some employment based green cards are not being required for interview. I personally know a case where biometrics were done and after 2 months, I-485 was approved without the need of interview. Anyone read or heard about that too?

Mine is MSC as well. I guess I’ll just wait and see when the biometrics letter comes. I’ve tried calling USCIS as well as tried to chat with a live agent via EMMA but they weren’t very helpful. Basically said they don’t have any further information. I’m in the Boston area. Where are you located?

Maybe the service center has a play in this? My forms are being processed by National Service Center (MSC).

My application submit dates and receipt notice (from NBC) dates are a couple weeks before you, but strangely, I haven't received a biometrics appointment letter yet (btw, glad to know that you got yours). I wonder if this has anything to do with the filing category (EB1 vs. EB2) or the fact that I used a lawyer or just something completely random. Would you mind me asking if your I-140 was under EB1 or EB2 (mine is EB2) and whether you filed it yourself or used a lawyer (paper application). I've heard anecdotally that filing paper applications via lawyer slows everything down but am not 100% sure if that's indeed the case.
