Hi,
I applied for permanent residency in late October. My husband (US citizen) and I have since been offered jobs overseas that we both want to take. However, we will then need to leave the US in March 2012. I have sent a petition for advanced parole, but technically my i-485 is still pending and we have not been called in for an interview yet. I know that we are going to leave the country in March no matter what, but is there anything I can do to NOT completely sabotage my i-485 petition? Could I apply for i-824 once we go abroad if my i-485 is still pending?
And also, am I right in understanding that if I do leave the US without getting the advanced parole, I will not be able to come back on a different visa (say, B2 or tourist)?
Thank you very much,
Julia
