  • Moving to another jurisdiction

I am getting way ahead of myself here, but...my husband and I are starting the adjustment of status process based on marriage. I am a citizen, he is from South America. We are both in the US right now. Once he gets his green card and becomes a Legal Permanent Resident with Conditions, we want to relocate to another state that will also be a different jurisdiction as far as immigration goes. Our attorney advised us against moving until he is a citizen in two years, but we really do not want to stay where we are for two more years. There must be people that do this. Does anyone know the best way to transfer your case with the least risk of it getting lost, as that is what out lawyer tells us is the biggest risk? Does this really happen a lot (cases getting lost)? Thanks.
