My mother got her Green card on 09/02/08. Thank you very much for all the help during the process.
Now she wants to travel to India for 3 months to visit her parents and my sister.
1. What should she do to ensure that her Green card does not get affected when she is outside the US?
2. What is the maximum duration she can stay in India without disrupting her green card?
3. Do we have to do any paper work considering she will be in India for 3-4 months and then return.
4. When she came from India she had a return ticket, Should we purchase a return ticket to the US right now for proof when leaving?
Please let me know anything else we should do to avoid affecting her reisdent status in the US
