Quick question for everyone - did you store your documents in a binder or a file organizer? Or did you just place them accordingly with paper clips per category and then just put everything in a Fedex envelope?

Would love to know how everyone is organizing their portfolio of evidence/documents! I am currently organizing my documents and we will file 3rd/last week of August.

Hello hopefulandhappy We will be filing soon (first week of Sept)...for our package we have application/credit card form, cover letter, summary page of each section of evidence, followed by copies of supporting documents in different sections. For each section we have a color-coded tab in the bottom of the page which makes it easy to find a document. I wanted to make it easy for anyone to find any section without needing to look at the entire package. It weighs around 3.5 pounds. We are providing 2 years of statements (banks, credit card, home/life/health insurances, etc). We are planning to put them in a large padded envelope and then ship it via USPS Priority Express box.

      Hope this helps.

I did paperclips by category. Had 2 years of multiple bank statements, investment statements, credit cards, apartment leases, tax returns, university transcripts, and travel itineraries. I also included gift receipts, and photos of us spending time with each others’ families. I hope its enough to skip an interview.

i filed 8/9, received at uscis on 8/12, waiting for my spouse’s i-797c so we can travel out of the country for xmas without problems.

How much is the correct filing fees for I751 please? My I751 has been rejected 3 time now for incorrect fees. $680 money order was included the first and second time but they rejected it for incorrect fees. My lawyer tried resubmitting the 3 time by sending 2 separate money order of $595 and $ 85 and I just received a notice of incorrect fee rejection again. I am running out of time , my gc expires in 2 weeks. I am anxious and confused as to what’s going on.

Based on everything I have read it is $680 ($595 +$85= $680) PER PERSON applying. You may need to call USCIS and ask to speak with level two to see what is happening. Or try sending a form G-1450 (authorization for credit card transactions) and have it charged against your credit card instead (even if you the credit card form, you still must specify the authorized payment amount which is $680 per person).

I sent $680 in a single cashier's check. I received the I-797C receipt yesterday, so I'm assuming the fee was accepted.

Hello there, We did exactly as you sending USCIS a single cashier's check for $680 from our joint account. It comforts me that you have received a prompt I-797 receipt, we filed in July and no word from them yet.

Update: We just received an SMS for receipt confirmation of 751, today would be exactly 30 days since it was delivered to Phoenix, AZ lockbox.

                        Hi Everyone,

I live in Ohio. Do I still need to send it to Phoenix, AZ?

hodelek i don’t think it matters where you filing from. What matters is the “current” address on the USCIS site at the “time” of filing. If it says Phoenix Arizona as at august 30th (your day of filing), you file there. If the address has changed, you put in at that current address as at the time of filing.

Do you have the link where to find the address?
