parent visa /australia
hi I had permanent residency in australia but left in 1998, my twins were born there. I am a us citizen, my children have dual citizenship. My australian spouse and I divorced in 2003 and he returned with our children to australia. My kids are now 15 and have complained over the years about problems living with their dad, my son recently got into serious legal trouble and my daughter is troubled, too. I am going to go back and plan on becoming a citizen. I have supported my children over the years and maintained a close bond. I am 52 and have a college degree however I have been a housewife for the last 8 years. I am in the process of divorcing my current spouse and will get quite a large monetary settlement which I plan to use to move back to australia and perhaps open a coffeeshop, or take some type of training. I will have ehough money to rent a home and support my children for one to two years. They want to live with me. Any ideas what sort of visa would apply to this situation? thankyou for any help.
