need to undesrtand policies regarding marrying a canadian citizen

I plan to marry my canadian fiancee in July. We will be amrrying in my county of residence in the U.S. I am however, not allowed access to Canada due to a class C misdemeanor charge from 1999. I understand that regulations allow for married couples to live together while awaiting approval, however, I am not aware as to whether or not I will be able to do so as i am currently not permitted into Canada. Please advise me with any relevant data, including, but not limited to; any forms or procedures I may have to follow to be allowed to come with my Fiancee. I appreciate any advice ro help that could eb offered. Thank You
