Hi, I am in a non-IT job (mechanical engineering)
I got my EAD last year but am still on h1B. Am planning to switch job to a different employer (transferring H1B). The new position has different title but I think it will fall in the same SOC code as my current job.
I have a question regarding job function similarity. How same the language of the two job functions should be?
Although I'll be doing similar kind of work but to a non-technical person from USCIS the two job descriptions may sound totally different. Do they look to match some key-words or two job descriptions should match line by line?
