Hi,
My current employer had filed for EB3 with I40 approved and priority date of Sept 2008. I had 4 years of prior work exp when I joined the company, but this position needed a minimum of 5 years of work exp, and hence I filed under EB3 though EB2 was being offered for that position.
Now after being with company for 8 years - there is a brand new position within the same company, but a different department, which is 50% different from my current position, company is willing to interview me and file for my EB2 for that position, if I get that job, they have posted the job on various sites. I am a very good fit for that new position, and have a good chance of clearing the interview rounds.
My question is how long would it take for the porting and me getting the green card.
The priority dates for EB2 are sept 2008 as of now.
