I'm married to a US citizen and am applying for a green card. While filling out form I-485, I realized that I will have to answer "yes" to part 3C question 1c, for having "been the beneficiary of a pardon, amnesty, rehabilitation decree, other act of clemency, or similar action". A few years ago I participated in two state tax amnesty programs because I was clueless and didn't know I had state tax liability (somehow only one of them sent me a letter saying my amnesty application was accepted). Will saying so on my I-485 have any consequences on my application?
