police clearance for consular processing at Bombay

Hi friends,


I am residing in US for last 3 years and am in position to select for consular processing or I-485 for green card.
I am currently working on h-1 visa and my employer has sponsored my green
card.

Most of my time I have been in India prior to 2000, except for some time around 10 mos approx I was in Canada. in 1996.
do I need to have police clearance from Canada also for Consular processing?
