You can travel in any state in US once you come here. SSN and GC will be delivered to the address you provided (NJ address I assume) and you do not need to be present in NJ when it gets delivered. So do not worry about traveling anywhere in US.

Hi Popat, I have a query. If we reach New jersy in the F4 visa. can we travel to other states without getting the social security no.? I mean just to visit and see relatives.Then will come back to new jersy. Or we have to be at the place we reach first till the time we get our Social security no and green card? please reply.

Yes. To end chain migration means ending F4 for sure, F3 could be debatable (As per recent speech, DT wants only child and spouses coming in, its not clear its whether citizen family or PR family or both).

It's too early to speculate anything. There isn't agreement between both party on any of the bill yet. even if they reach agreement, then we need to review final bill if any relief is given to already awaiting visa.

Usually these kinda bill gets effective starting new FY or future dateeven though it gets approved today (let's just assume this).

Looks like they have not started July 2004 welcome letters yet as the VB cuts off in June 2004.

As PD moves forward, I am sure they will need to start sending welcome letters to July 2004 and forward.

March visa bulletin is available. It's move up to 01 February 2004 for F-4 category.
