Hi, my wife and I are Indian citizens and planning to adopt a child here in the USA. Would it be possible to get an OCI card for the child if we decide to relocate back to India in the future?
So far, I've found that the VFS website and the MEA FAQ doc doesn't explicitly say anything about adopted children (which makes sense and i appreciate that) but I did come across some other article that explicitly said "adopted and step children" are not eligible. I would like to believe this article is either dated or completely inaccurate. Does any one have any experience in this regard?
