My dad is applying on the basis of his wife, my mom. One of the documents listed is "birth certificate." He was born in colonial Kenya and the only birth certificate he has is ripped and very bad condition. I tried ordering a new one from the Kenyan Embassy but it is taking forever. I might try to have him apply with the document as is. Does anyone know if it will be an issue?
