PERM Filing : Will getting Promoted impact my H1B and PERM application?
Hi,
I am working for company A from last year on H1B (Full Time Employee) as a Test Engineer.
My company is ready to file my PERM for Green card, for Sr. Test Engineer role. I am due for promotion as well (in next couple months) for Sr.Test Engineer.
My questions are related to, how this promotion will impact my H1 and PERM filing, If I get my promotion as Sr. Test Engineer.
1. Do I need to just file my LCA to report change in designation/salary (or) Do I need to file for H1 Amendment? Please note, here the Organization, Department, Project, Nature of work, everything remains the same.
2. What happens, if we file PERM first as Test Engineer and then I get promoted in few months, while PERM is in process. Do we need to file PERM application again?
3. What happens, if I wait till I get my promotion and then file PERM application? In this case, current designation and PERM designation will be same.
