To all friends who join the group " Waiting for priority date:

    Senate letter Sample format

This is what I wrote. PLease use this as is, or just use as template. All the very best to all.

    ---------------------------------------------
America is a country of immigrants. Having lived an worked here for 10 years, I have realized that there is no other place where qualified people can polish and apply their their talents more than the U.S.

A diamond is nothing more than a black rock, unless polished by someone who realized it's value. Having attained Masters degree in Engineering from one of the most reputable universities in the U.S and having filed many patents, I still look for that artist who will realize my true potential.

It is the company that hired me realized my true potential. My employer gave me a platform to show my true potential and a very critical position of Design engineer with them, who are a world renowned company that serves the noble field of healthcare.

Even after doing everything right, I and my employer's hands were tied, as far as letting me unleash my true potential. What is the Reason for this??? It’s Simple. U.S Immigration policies.

Unlike all other developed country, where immigration is based on qualifications and the realization that it is the acumen and ability of a bright people that ultimately creates many jobs and wealth for the country, U.S is still adopting age-old process of performing restricted immigrants on a per country quota basis.

I request you to please understand how critical it is for the economy of this country to encourage and provide residency status for people who would create many many jobs for this country. I live in constant fear of not getting a permanent status to live in the U.S even after giving my life and blood and sweat for so many years. I would like you to support the immigration reform so people in professions of Science, Engineering and Mathematics get a preference for immigration. This is a clause in Comprehensive Immigration reform bill, which I would like to bring to the attention of all U.S senators and policy makers, so very bright and smart doctors and engineers do not have to wait for unlimited number of years to get a permanent residency status.

I request you to support a purposeful immigration reform.
    Thank You.
