Greetings!
I have a valid F-1 US-Visa to join PhD at University of California Riverside. I am planning to book a flight to Los Angeles on Lufthansa, which has a layover of 04:50 hours at Frankfurt (Chennai - Frankfurt, Frankfurt - Los Angeles). The travel websites invariably say that this travel requires German (Schengen) transit Visa, even if I have a valid F-1 Visa to my destination, which is the US.
Kindly advise me whether or not I should get transit visa; which would be a great help, in deed.
