however I do have a new job offer pending.

I had my interview (family based adjustment of status) yesterday and the IO said that I will have an answer in 6-8 weeks and then it will take another 2 months after that to get the card. I've been reading other's post on here and it seems like there are a lot of lucky people around. I don't feel very lucky at the moment and am afraid I will lose my job. Important dates are as follows:
