NORI clearance from Passport office - J1 Waiver
Hi all,
I got the docs notarized, attested by Consulate General from Indian Embassy and trying to send the attested documents to passport office to get clearance from them. Basically, I am from Tamilnadu but my passport was issued from Bareilly, UP as I was studying there and applied by then. So, my passport has Place of issue as Bareilly and address in last page has Bareilly, UP address.
Now, I am not sure where to request for NORI whether from Passport office on Bareilly or Passport office on Chennai as somewhere they mentioned like the passport office from where it was issued. As this process involves verification by police and address details, etc., if I send it to Bareilly, not sure they will do the police verification for Tamilnadu.
If anyone had similar situation, please shed some light here. I appreciate your help.
