Yes its the worst time I've experienced and still experiencing in US in my 20 plus years of residency. The worst part is that there is no end in sight and things are still getting worst.
In my books, its going to take a miracle to fix these problems!

To be honest I am unsure about that. Well today there was an approval for illegal immigrants who have attended high school for 3 years in US can avail in-state tuition in college. If you need further information, I can for sure use my resources and find that out for you.
I am unfortunately not painting a picture nor scaring the potential immigrants but only speaking the truth. This is what I have been experiencing and also sharing the experience of those who were born and raised her.

I was researching that as well for my nieces and nephew( my daughter is already @ university in U.S). So far all written info shows me that it will not be possible but I know from other research that different universities have different policies and they are exceptions to the norm. For instance my daughter is an international student but her part scholarship is the difference between the instate and out of state tuition. What it boils down to is she only pays the in state. This is a large university of over 21 thousand students. They do not do it for all the students.

Some universities allow u to get instate tuition after a year of attending school there even if you are not officially a resident of that state, (example, when a New York resident goes to a university in Florida). Most universities say no, but some would allow it.

You just never know what is out there. Cheers !

hi guys...i'm really quite confused right now, need ur help... this month's (november) visa bulletin for my category==F3==country-Phils==is already march95...i got so excited to know that the upcoming month's (dec.) visa bulletin is already available, only to find out it went back to JULY92!! omg!! is this possible?that the priority dates move back?pls help?! my priority date is june2000/f3/philippines.

@ lovegirl: This is possible. In fact it has happened many times in the past. It's called retrogression. "Retrogression happens when a visa category becomes oversubscribed, or when the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of visas available. As a result, the US Department of State, through its US Embassies, imposes a strict quota on the number of visas further released for the countries affected (in this case, China, India and the Philippines) and is no longer able to process new immigrant visa applications for a temporary but indefinite period".

You're welcome lovegirl. Don't despair. I was in a worst situation than you coz I was petitioned first back in 1988, then it was revoked. I was re-petitioned in 2002 so i'm waiting for the 2nd time.. that will be a total of 22 years in waiting time ! But that's my fate. Maybe it was for the best coz there was the economic problem in 2008, etc. Cheers, be patient

I have a question if anybody can answer. My father;s income is insufficient to sponsor me, so i want to have my brother as a sponsor. They both live in the same household (mailing address is same) Which form should my brother fill? For I-864 or I-864A ?

Thanks dsz. The I-864A is Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member. "This contract is intended to benefit the sponsored immigrant(s). By signing this form, a household member who is not a sponsored immigrant, agrees to make his or her income and/or assets available to the sponsor to help support the immigrant for whom the sponsor has filed an affidavit of support. Should be filed with Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act."

Based on the above your brother has to file form I-864A but your petitioner (your father in this case) should also file form I-864.

Hope this helps. Pls keep us updated on your progress. Have you paid AOS fee? Did you mail (by snail mail) your DS-3032?
