Got visa for my parents

Parents got 6 yrs visitors visa approved, from Mumbai consulate.
Interview was in english. Interviewer did not asked for any papers, just asked routine questions like purpose of visit, who is sponsoring, what does son do, who is the client.
My father is working for Central Govt and he showed his identitity card for the same. I guess that reason was enough to prove that they will come back to India.

most of the times i heard it will be issued for 2/3/6 months or 10 yrs multi entry...but 6 yrs is strange.
Pradeep, is it anyways dependent on the period of service left by your father(is it so that 6/7 yrs of more service is pending as a C Govt. employee)

coz, even am planning to apply for my parents.my father is a CG employee n has 6 yrs of more service.of course each case is very much unique n independent.
