Please give me some suggestion regarding Opt, Below I posted my friends problem what he had....
This is the message from school
I received help from SEVIS yesterday regarding your OPT.
They suggest that you apply for OPT directly, outside of SEVIS. You will then be sent a Request for Evidence (RFE) asking for an I-20 with the OPT request on the record. When you get that RFE, you will need to bring it to us and we can open up a ticket to expedite the process.

Hi my dear friends
Please help me out, in my OPT college people did a mistaken they put system date wrong it says that i already finish the course in 2013 Feb, but actually am going to finish the course in Feb 2014.
They contacted with SEVIS people to get back the system date back , but as per their conversation my college people are saying that i have to apply my OPT from outside through USCIS website online . once i applied from there then they will ask for OPT 1 20, put in RFE after that college people will respond again and generate the OPT -120 .
Please suggest me this is the right way of procedure on any other way is there?
