Can I travel within the US while out of status

I just got married, filed for AOS recently, but haven't received anything back yet.
I have a passport, with nothing inside (my old one had my previous visa), and my visa expired a long time ago. I don't have any driving licence or US ID.

Can I fly from Sacramento to Las Vegas?
Would the TSA agents check on my immigration status or even look inside my passport? Or is it a risk I shouldn't consider?
