Asylum EAD card decision tranfered to USCIS officer!!!! Help please

This is my second time applying for EAD, asylum case, (the first one for a year was granted). It has been more than 2 months that I have applied to renew it and still it is at initial review. My driver license and EAD card have expired. I called USCIS and they told me that my case has been forwarded to an USCIS investigator. What does it mean? I went to my asylum interview and my case is now transferred to court. They also told me that I can apply for an EAD since they didn't give me a date to court.
Please have you ever heard this case. Please help. Thank you
