HI,
My application for B1 visa got rejected on Mar 2012. I have no clue why may be because of low salary. The interview was as follows:
VO: Good morning sir
Me: Good morning mam
VO: Why do you want to go to the US?
Me: I am going to get advance level training on our proprietary product from SMEs at our onsite office.
VO: You have been working in @#%% organisation for how long?
Me: 1 yr 11 months
VO: What is your annual salary?
Me:1.8 lakh per annum
VO: Have you traveled outside India before?
Me: No sir
VO: Who will be paying for the conference/trip?
Me: It will be sponsored by the company, stated company name
VO: What is your designation?
Me: Quality analyst.
VO: I am sorry but right now we cannot issue you a visa. You can apply later. She didn't even looked at me as if she had made her mind that it should be rejected and Handed me back my passport with form 214(b)
I have my interview scheduled on May 2014. Can any one guide me where I went wrong? The VO never asked me for any documents or an invitation letter. How can I ensure that my visa will be approved this time?
Here is my status now:
total exp : 4.3 yrs
Current company exp : 2 yrs
Annual salary: 4.5 Lacs
Designation : Sr QA
Am I still lacking somewhere?
