B-1 visa to attend an interview?

One of my cousins is a doctor and working in a pharmaceutical company. She has got a call for an interview from a US based company. They are paying for her tickets and expenses in the US however she is applying by herself for the B-1 visa interview in Bombay. The company is providing her with a letter saying shes visiting the US for the interview. Is the B-1 visa valid for attending interviews? Also what documents must she carry?
