Business visa B1 extension

hi...
i came to us in march last week..
i got 10 yrs b1 visa multiple entry...
during my immigartion at US...i got 3 months in my I94...
Now my employer wants me to extend the stay for another 3 months...
they said they will extend my stay thru some legal process (thru lawyer)...
now i have doubt...
1. is it correct way to extend
2. is it will be a problem for me if i visit next time to US...i heard some ppl got rejected at immigration since they extended earlier stay...
3. is it problem if i come on any visa in future...
please suggest
