I moved to the U.S. from Vietnam when I was about 11 ( I think, could be a little earlier) I'm now 20.
I have applied for U.S. citizenship late january and already done my biometrics. Now I have an interview dates for 17 of April in Virginia (Norfolk) to be exact. And I'm now preparing for the interview. And I would like to know some informations and answers to some questions that I have.
I have stayed in the U.S. for around 9 to 10 years. I take vacations out of the states twice during these years.
They asked me to bring passport or travel documents. What exactly should I bring ?
I don't think I have my passport from Vietnam. I have lost the visa for my 1st trip n maybe have for the 2nd one. They both combine together to be around just little over 2 months.
How could I prove my stay in the U.S. other than tax documents since I only work for a restaurant n made less amount of money that would requires to file tax. Also, they take taxes directly out of my pay check. No longer working because of school.
So, could I just not bring any proves about my visits to Vietnam?
Or it is not necessary because I didn't stay pass 6 months at a time?
Also,I would requires alien card, social security, identification card, selective service proof.
For the selective service proof, do I actual need a card proof or I could just print out the online proof from their website?
I'm still quite naive to this adult world of taxes, etc. does not having a job n pay taxes affects my outcome of being accepted ( approves) of my interview.
And last, do I have to bring my birth certificates ( translate version) with me to interview?
Thank you,
