I became Permanent Resident: 01/31/2009.
My trips outside US are :
Departure Date Arrival Date
4/22/2009 12/20/2009
1/8/2010 12/20/2010
1/7/2011 6/28/2011
8/18/2011 1/10/2013
7/14/2013 9/27/2013
4/11/2014 9/24/2014
Using the calculator I had the following results :
"You do not qualify for naturalization as of today, due to lack of one or more of the following criteria.
Required Criteria Expected Duration Pass
Time as Permanent Resident 3 Years YES
Continuous Residence 3 Years NO
Physical Presence in the United States 18 Months NO
You will be eligible on or after 04/04/2016, provided you meet the continuous residence and physical presence requirement by then.
You can file your Form N-400, 90 days before your eligibility date i.e. on or after 01/05/2016."
OK I agree for the 18 months of Physical Presence in the United States. But I believe that is something wrong with my 3 years of Continuous Residence, based on the following note, as I had a re-entry permit and I came back in 1 year, 4 months and 24 days.
"Note: If you return within 2 years with Re-entry permit, the last 364 days of your time out of the U.S. (1 year minus 1 day) counts toward meeting the continuous residence requirement."
Based on that note I believe that I've already meet the criteria of the 3 years of Continuous Residence and that I can apply for U.S. naturalization 12/31/2014 (90 days prior).
Am I correct?
