I am new here. I just signed up because I have a question about an interview my husband had 2 weeks ago. i would really appreciate any input. The interview went well except the interviewer asked my husband based on what is he applying for naturalization. she asked him if he would like to do it based on marriage or based on being a permanent resident for 5 years. he has both and he asked her what she suggested. she told him if he is married he can do based on marriage. because he took her advice she wasnt able to pass him on the spot but told him that now they need additional information(bummer!). we just got the letter and they are asking for so many things part of them we cannot provide. we have been married 12 years with 5 children so they are not doubting our marriage they just need to see proof. some bills are in my husbands name and some are on my name....little things like that that we dont have. question is...is there any way to change it now to base it on 5 yr rule so we dont have to go through all of this?
